I just finished the box of staples that I got when I first started in feb 2006. is that possible? 5000 staples?!

Wooow! Sounds like a lot but if you calculate it…that’s 5000 staples in 22 months = 227staples/month = 10 staples/day (average of 22 business days in one month) = approx 1 staple an hour =)
