DAY 4
What to do for our last day in New York City?...think think think...hmmm...Breakfast at Max Brenner! We promised we would return and we did. Known for their chocolate confections and cuisine, we had a brunch made from sweet-loving delight.
A white chocolate martini with a skewer of gummi bears on top! (Chef, you would've loved it!)
I don't even think anyone drank a sip of water that morning before we arrived at the restaurant. These martinis might've been everyone's first drink of the day!
But we were on vacation and you could BARELY taste any alcohol so it's ok! Rochelle seriously could've had like 5 or 6 of these before she could realize that she's hammered!
I had a non-alcoholic drink (again because of the meds), but let me tell you - no complaints here. I had a Mocha Frappe - milk chocolate truffle with one espresso shot in a cool glass with a metal straw!
Fantone's breakfast was WOW! I can't even remember what she ate, but I can't forget what it smelled like!
Oh...
After we ate, Cile got a few minutes to spend with an old high school confidante who's lived in NYC since graduation in 1996. If anyone can vouch for Cile's antics at Marymount, it's Bethany. We caught her on a busy day so we'll have to schedule another visit to hear more stories about Cile.
After a quick run to Canal Street (which is basically NYC's version of Santee in Downtown LA) for some souvenirs, we got on our way to the Rockefeller area. While Chris, Fantone, James and Randy got more shopping done, Cile and I attended 5:30 mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral.
We re-grouped out front and I took this picture, which looks like it belongs in a college brochure. Hahaha!

On our way to the subway stop to head back home, these dorks got me in trouble with a cop at Rockefeller Center. I was trying to take a picture of everyone and they're like, "Stand on the bench so you have a better view." Then the cop came to reprimand me. Thanks a lot, you guys! haha!
After that little run-in with the law, we decided to have a drink at the bar there just to say we had drinks at Rockefeller Center. Too bad we were in a hurry so everyone downed their glasses in 10 minutes. Even the bartender was like, "wow, that was fast!" Girl, this is how we roll!
We got back to the loft, rested, watched more basketball, MTV and VH1 (which is what we did when we were home) and then decided to spend our last night in NYC with Pinay. We lived on 28th and 7th. We walked to 34th street to take the subway uptown to...175th street. We waited for a subway FOREVER and we rode the subway FOREVER. When we got to the 116th stop, Cile turned to me, "Do we know where we're going?" hahaha!
Pinay picked us up by the subway station, bought us yummy beef patties for dinner, then lured us into her house of Fernand's favorite word - debauchery. Haha!
"I'm gonna give you something to drink, but you can't ask any questions and you can't complain." - Pinay...Man, that should've been our first warning.
We did okay...sort of. We got to hang out on the fire escape, I sang a few verses of "Out Tonight" in Larnie's honor, we drank and drank and drank some more of whatever Pinay, Clarion and Mario concocted for us to consume - no questions asked.
We were all over the place...singing, dancing, falling, and drinking. We spent a few minutes on the roof where I got kicked in the face a few times, people were breakdancing, we took a bunch of pictures, I sang a few verses of "One Song, Glory, " again, for Larnie, and then...well... Let's just say our last night in New York City was a memorable one...for those who remember what happened...
I remember everything, and this trip will be no exception. Thanks Cile, Chris, Fantone, James and Randy for such a wonderful time!!!

Thanks, New York, for allowing us a read...
